Installation Manager

Position Title:                       Installer
 

Position Summary:              Under minimal direction and supervision, has direct responsibility for field installation and servicing of company products.  Ensures that the installation and servicing of all company products conforms to company standards and customer requirements.         

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:             
 
  1. Install, trouble-shoot, service, or repair company products when requested.
  2. Have and maintain a background capable of withstanding stringent examinations to ensure access to highly classified   governmental areas.
  3. Prepare and maintain, on an ongoing basis, the job site.  See to such details as trash removal, parking, equipment rental,     power, material handling, daily broom cleaning, hire workers, log man hours, direct workers as required, etc.
  4. Keep and track required records.  Keep records and logs regarding progress on the job, daily expenses, personal work hours, helper work hours, and problems encountered.  Prepare follow-up reports outlining how the job went and inform all necessary personnel.
  5. Responsible for hiring and directing help as required.
  6. Review bills of materials, drawings, man-hours, etc.  Develop installation plan prior to leaving for the installation job site.
  7. Inspect materials on site, upon arrival, for damage, shortages, quality problems, etc. prior to installation start.
  8. Responsible for tracking man-hour estimates to ensure pre-determined targets are met. 
  9. Maintain the integrity and reputation of the company at all times when dealing day-to-day with contractors, end users, subcontractors, etc.
  10. Gratuities, gifts, etc. are strictly prohibited to contractors, subcontractors, area contractors, end users, etc
  11. While off the road, work on in-house duties, including local and in-house installation, research and development and, most importantly, prepare thoroughly for the next project installation.
  12. As necessary, responsible for participating in various training schools and meetings.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Principal Accountabilities
 
Ensure that company product is properly installed and serviced.
 
Education and/or Experience
 

High School degree.  Construction experiences a plus.  Knowledge of High Density Mobile Storage Systems is a plus.  Basic knowledge of electricity, blueprint reading, woodworking, machine operation, and hand tool use required.   Will require travel to job sites in and around San Diego. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

 
Language Skills
 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project specifications and technical procedures.  Must have good verbal communication skills (i.e. for dealing with customers, contractors, etc.)

 
Mathematical Skills
 

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to apply to practical situations.

 
Reasoning Ability
 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
