Position Title: Experienced Sales Representative

Position Summary: Reporting to the Sales Manager & President, this position is responsible for bringing profitable sales to the company by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.

Filefax is the exclusive provider of Spacesaver brand products throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties. Our expertise includes information (document) and material management. We target Business, Education, Legal, Healthcare, Financial, Manufacturing, Justice and Government industries, and have demonstrated successful implementation of our services across all of these local markets.

Currently, our sales team includes five Sales & Design Representatives. It is critical that any new Sales Representatives fit the chemistry of this team and are of the highest integrity. As a small business, each additional individual that joins our Company presents a tremendous opportunity for growth. At the same time, it is their character and values foundation that represent the greatest value to Filefax and to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sales - Responsible to bring profitable sales to the company. Represent the company in a professional manner and to be known as an expert in the field of filing and storage systems.
2. Project Management – With the help of our administrative and installation staff, the Sales Representative is ultimately responsible for seeing their projects thru to completion.
3. Territory Development - Responsible for effectively penetrating designated territory to reach goals set with the Sales Manager. Including but not limited to: net sales, number of sales calls, and number of new prospects.
4. Product Knowledge - Responsible to acquire and maintain maximum knowledge of the essential details of every product and service assigned to represent including but not limited to: Catalogs, Price Lists, Specification Sheets, Sales Manuals, Demo Kits, Company Policy and Product Memos. Will study competitive products, reports and observe existing installations.
5. Reports – Maintain and complete all necessary reports in the time limits required. Including but not limited to: 90 day plans, Lead Status, Project Reporting, and Expense Reports.
6. Travel – Minimal local travel and one week per year out of state travel for vendor training.

Principal Accountabilities
Ensure that established sales goal for assigned territory is reached or exceeded. Ensure repetitive sales through the establishment of positive long-term customer relationships.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred and a minimum of five years of sales experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Requires learning Spacesaver product applications and how they can be applied in the selected market.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, interpret and create project specifications, architectural plans/drawings, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software and word
processing software.
